Tri -Valley Haven
Commissioner Clare indicated that she was uncomfortable that the Tri -Valley Haven project
has been ongoing and allocated funds have just been unused. Commissioner Wright noted
that the services provided by this organization are unique and funds had not been used
because of unusual circumstances. She noted that staff from both the cities of Pleasanton and
Livermore have been working with the agency.
Commissioner Clare felt if there were competing funding requests that the commission may be
required to think differently about considering recommending more funding for this project.
Mr. Hernandez commented on the use of CDBG funds and needing to expend funds in a
timely manner. He noted that the cities of Livermore and Pleasanton and the Tri -Valley Haven
are all aware of the limit requirements for using the funds for this project.
Commissioner Hayes wondered how the commission could figure a parameter and range for
using funds. Mr. Ingram indicated that staff thought the project could be around $800,000 and
may even be more. Mr. Hernandez advised that local funds are being allocated for the project
by the City of Livermore and there is a contingency fund for the project.
Ci Serve
Commissioner Wright questioned staff on. how they had arrived at the recommended funding
amount for CityServe. Mr. Ingram and Mr. Hernandez provided information and advised they
had spoken with the City of Livermore about the funding they would be providing but did not
know what the funding budget would be from HUD.
Axis Community Health
No comments.
Open Heart Kitchen
No comments.
Spectrum
No comments.
