Section 12. Automobiles and Automobile Allowances <br /> 12.1 Automobiles <br /> The Police Chief and Fire Chief may be provided a vehicle for both business and <br /> limited personal use as defined by the City Manager. Managers receiving a car <br /> allowance should provide proof of insurance showing liability coverage of at least <br /> $100,000 per person, $300,000 per incident to the Assistant City Manager on an <br /> annual basis. <br /> 12.2 Automobile Allowance <br /> The purpose of the automobile allowance is to compensate managers for using their <br /> personal vehicles on a regular basis for business needs. The allowance is intended to <br /> cover all expenses associated with vehicle use including, but not limited to fuel, <br /> insurance and any associated claims, maintenance and repairs. <br /> Managers in the following classifications shall receive a monthly vehicle allowance of <br /> $200 as compensation for providing and using their personal vehicles for City business <br /> and are not eligible for mileage compensation: <br /> Assistant City Attorney <br /> Assistant City Manager <br /> Assistant Director of Operations Services <br /> Assistant to the City Manager <br /> Chief Building Official <br /> City Clerk <br /> Recreation Manager <br /> Deputy Director, Community Development/City Engineer <br /> Deputy Director, Community Development/Planning Manager <br /> Deputy Director, Community Development/Traffic Engineer <br /> Director of Economic Development <br /> Director of Finance <br /> Page 27 of 44 <br />
