WHEREAS, at their meeting of September 11, 1974, the Planning <br />Commission unanimously moved to reaffirm their original position <br />and recommend exclusion of both the Thorpe land and the Busch <br />parcel; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of September 16, <br />1974, considered the recommendation of the Planning Commission; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton wishes <br /> <br />to prezone certain property adjacent to the City limits so that <br />upon its annexation to the City it will have a zoning classifi- <br />cation for the Q (Rock, Sand and Gravel Extraction) District. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. All of the approximately 1,679 acres of land <br />lying between Martin Avenue on the west, the Arroyo Mocho and its <br />eastern extension on the north, the eastern boundary of the East <br />Bay Regional Park District on the east, and the Arroyo del Valle, <br />Shadow Cliffs Regional Park, Stanley Boulevard, and the City limit <br />line on the south, owned by Lone Star Industries, Inc., Kaiser <br />Sand and Gravel Co., Pleasanton Sand and Gravel Co., George <br />Jamieson, and excluding approximately 50 acres of land located <br />south of the Arroyo Mocho and east of Martin Avenue owned by <br /> <br /> W. Thorpe and approximately 80 acres of land located east <br /> <br />of Martin Avenue and south of Mohr Avenue, owned. by John and <br /> <br /> Busch, is hereby prezoned from A (Agricultural as defined <br /> the Zoning Code of the County of Alameda) District to Q (Rock, <br /> <br />and Gravel Extraction) District, as defined by the Ordinance <br />of the City of Pleasanton, said areas more particularly <br />shown on zoning Unit Map ~143 a~ached hereto as Exhibit A, and <br />'the Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton is amended accordingly. <br /> <br /> -2- <br /> <br /> <br />
