CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY ~ CALIFORNIA <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 741 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE PREZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM A (AGRI- <br /> CULTURAL AS DEFINED BY THE ZONING CODE OF THE COUNTY <br /> OF ALAMEDA) DISTRICT TO Q (ROCK, SAND AND GRAVEL EX- <br /> TRACTION) DISTRICT, APPROXIMATELY 1,750 ACRES OF LAND <br /> LYING BETWEEN MARTIN AVENUE ON THE WEST, THE ARROYO <br /> MOCHO AND ITS EASTERN EXTENSION ON THE NORTH, THE <br /> EASTERN BOUNDARY OF THE EAST BAY REGIONAL PARK DIS- <br /> TRICT ON THE EAST AND THE ARROYO DEL VALLE, SHADOW <br /> CLIFFS REGIONAL PARK, STANLEY BOULEVARD AND THE CITY <br /> LIMIT LINE ON THE SOUTH, EXCEPT FOR THE PROPERTY O'WNED ~ <br /> BY THE THORPES AND THE BUSCHES, AS SHOWN ON ZONING U~IT F~P ~i 3 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Con~nission, at its meeting of July <br /> <br /> ~10, 1974, recommended that the City Council prezone from A Dis- <br /> trict to Q District all of approximately 1,750 acres of land <br /> lying between Martin on the west, the Arroyo Mocho and its <br /> eastern extension on the north, the eastern boundary of the <br /> East Bay Regional Park District on the east and the Arroyo del <br /> Valle, Shadow Cliffs Regional Park, Stanley Boulevard and the <br /> City limit line on the south, except for property belonging to <br /> M. W. Thorpe, consisting of approximately 50 acres of land lo~I~ <br /> cared south of the Arroyo Mocho and east of Martin Avenue and <br /> property owned by John and William Busch, consisting of approxi- <br /> mately 80 acres of land located east of Martin Avenue and south <br /> of Mohr Avenue; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of August 12, 1974, <br /> considered this proposal for prezoning the above area and modified <br /> the recommendation of the Planning Commission to exclude only <br /> the Thorpe property from the area to prezone; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this matter was referred back to the Planning Com- <br />imission for a report; and <br /> <br /> <br />
