BACKGROUND <br /> On April 17, 2018, City Council awarded the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, <br /> MCK Services, Inc. in the amount of $3,707,570. <br /> There were two components to this project. The first component was the Annual Street <br /> Resurfacing project, and the second component was the expansion of the Cubby's Dog <br /> Park parking lot. <br /> The first component was part of the City's Preventative Maintenance and Rehabilitation <br /> Program and is expected to extend the service life of the streets. This project also <br /> improved roadway surface traction and ride quality. <br /> The second component was the expansion of the Cubby's Dog Park parking lot. This <br /> component was funded by the California Department of Housing and Community <br /> Development with an approved grant of $196,925.
