CITY COUNCIL OF CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO 732 AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING FOR ONE YEAR AN S (STUDY) DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ESTABLISHED BY ORDINANCE NO. 698 ON CERTAIN ii PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON (MISSION PARK AND WHEREAS, S65858 of the Government Code of the State of California permits the City Council, in order to protect the public safety, health and welfare, to adopt as an urgency measure an in- terim ordinance prohibiting any uses which may be in conflict with a contemplated zoning proposal which the City Council, Planning Commission or planning department is considering or studying or intending to study within a reasonable time; and !! WHEREAS, the City is in the process of updating and amending its General Plan and as a result is reconsidering the appropriate ![land use designation of various parcels of property located within the City; and WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Community Development has recommended to the City Council that certain properties be ! , !placed into a study district pending completion of the above ~istudies; and WHEREAS, in order to protect the public safety, health and ~!welfare and in order to insure that there is no conflict with the i~ results of the study referred to above, the City Council on July 2, i~ 1973, adopted Ordinance No. 698 as an interim zoning ordinance as an urgency measure; and WHEREAS, said ordinance was extended eight months by Ordi- !i nance No. 714, adopted on October 29, 1973; and ii WHEREAS, said ordinance will soon expire and the same condi- {i tions exist as required the original adoption of the above ordi- i nance; and !i WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting of July 8, 1974 ~ held a public hearing pursuant to ~ 65858 of the Government Code in
