CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY; CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 728 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 1973 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, THE 1973 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE AND THE 1973 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE AS PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS AND THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PLUMBING AND MECHANICAL OFFICIALS BY REFERENCE, WITH CERTAIN CHANGES, FIXING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION AND AMENDING THE ~ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ACCORDINGLY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASNATON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. ADOPTION OF THE 1973 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE BY REFERENCE. The Uniform Building Code, 1973 Edition~ published by the International Conference of Building. Officials~ with the changes, additions and deletions set forth in Section 2 of this ordinance is adopted by reference. There are three (3) copies of this Uniform Code on file in the office of the City Clerk for use and ~xamination by the public. Section 2--12.35, Article 1, Chapter 3, title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is amended ~ccordingly. Section 2. AMENDMENTS f MODIFICATIONS~ ADDITIONS TO AND DELETIONS FROM THE 1973 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM i! BUILDING CODE. Section 2-12.36 ~ Article 1, (Adoption of Uniform Building ;ode with Deletions and Modifications), Chapter 3 (Building Code), Title II (Zoning and Development), of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is amended to read as follows: "a. Amendments or Modifications ii 1. Whenever in the Adopted Code the words "Building ~! Official" are used they shall mean the Director i! of Housing and Community Development of the City i of Pleasanton or his agent.
