Other notification procedures such as pick-up request forms <br /> furnished by the Contractor will be subject to City review and approval if considered for use. <br /> To the best of its knowledge, the City shall provide Contractor with an accurate description of all <br /> industrial, non-hazardous or hazardous materials or substances or any other wastes involved in the <br /> services, including all relevant information reasonably available to the City concerning the chemical <br /> composition,physical characteristics,quantity,toxicity, or potentially hazardous properties of the wastes. <br /> The City warrants that it has communicated to Contractor those hazards and risks known or learned by <br /> the City to be incident to the handling, storage,treatment,transportation, and disposal of the wastes. <br /> Typical services will include but not be limited to the following: <br /> 1. Typical Types of Activities Performed under this Agreement <br /> • Semi-annual collection of routinely generated hazardous wastes from the Operations <br /> Service Center located at 3333 Busch Rd in Pleasanton. <br /> • Hazardous, non-hazardous or unknown waste sampling, characterization,profiling, <br /> packaging,transport and disposal (this includes preparation of profiles, manifests and <br /> land disposal restriction(LDR) notification/certification forms as necessary). <br /> • Routine collection and proper disposal of universal waste and electronic waste, asbestos <br /> cement pipe, and other special wastes. <br /> • Facility/equipment cleaning and decontamination, including bulk chemical storage tanks, <br /> wash rack sumps, containment sumps and associated piping, and proper disposal of the <br /> resultant wastes. <br /> • Nonemergency projects such as closure, decontamination, and disposal of wastes from <br /> homeless encampments. <br /> • Emergency response that requires rapid mobilization of equipment within two hours of <br /> notification. Types of responses include, but are not limited to, responding to: water <br /> treatment chemical releases, sludge releases, cleanup of hydraulic hose leaks, and <br /> discharges of water treatment chemicals into waterbodies. <br /> • Treated Wood Waste disposal to a RWQCB-approved landfill. <br /> 2. Mobilization and Packaging <br /> The Contractor will mobilize appropriately qualified personnel and equipment to the site as needed <br /> for each scheduled hazardous waste removal event. This task will include Contractor providing <br /> all personnel, materials, tools and equipment necessary for the handling, packaging, and <br /> transportation of the wastes. Typical tasks may include lab-packing, loose packing, bulking of <br /> wastes and/or pumping waste oil or oily water into a vacuum tanker. An area at OSC will be <br /> provided for staging and packaging operations. All packaging,manifesting, labeling, marking and <br /> placarding will be performed in full accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws <br /> Exhibit A <br /> Page 3of10 <br />
