Ordinance No. 2181 <br /> Page 9 of 22 <br /> 28. The project shall comply with the City of Pleasanton's Water Efficient Landscape <br /> Ordinance (PWELO). Per Section 492.3 of PWELO, prior to issuance of a building <br /> permit, the applicant shall submit a Landscape Documentation Package in PDF format <br /> to the City's Landscape Architecture Division, which shall be subject to the review and <br /> approval of the City's Landscape Architect prior to issuance of a building permit. The <br /> Landscape Document Package shall include the following <br /> a. Project information. <br /> b. Water Efficient Landscape Worksheet. <br /> c. Soil management report. <br /> d. Landscape design plan. <br /> e. Irrigation design plan; and <br /> f. Grading design plan. <br /> 29. Per Section 492.9 of PWELO, upon completion of construction and prior to a final <br /> inspection by the Building and Safety Division, the applicant shall submit a Certificate of <br /> Completion in PDF format to the City's Landscape Architecture Division for review and <br /> approval. The Certificate of Completion shall include the following contents: <br /> a. Part 1: Project information sheet. <br /> b. Part 2: Certificate of installation according to the landscape <br /> documentation package. <br /> c. Part 3: Irrigation scheduling. <br /> d. Part 4: Schedule of irrigation landscape and irrigation maintenance. <br /> e. Part 5: Landscape irrigation audit report; and <br /> f. Part 6: Soil management report (if not previously submitted). <br /> 30. The property owner is encouraged to use best management practices for the use of <br /> pesticides and herbicides. <br /> 31. The project developer shall provide root control barriers and four inch perforated pipes <br /> for parking lot trees, street trees, and trees in planting areas less than ten feet in width, <br /> as determined necessary by the Director of Community Development at the time of <br /> review of the final landscape plans. <br /> 32. Prior to occupancy, the landscape architect or landscape designer shall certify in writing <br /> to the Director of Community Development that the landscaping has been installed in <br /> accordance with the approved landscape and irrigation plans with respect to size, <br /> number, and species of plants and overall design concept. <br /> 33. The following statements shall be printed on to the site, grading, and landscape plans <br /> where applicable to the satisfaction of the Director of Community Development prior to <br /> issuance of a building permit: <br /> a) No existing tree may be trimmed or pruned without prior approval by the Director of <br /> Community Development. <br /> b) No equipment may be stored within or beneath the driplines of the existing trees. <br /> c) No oil, gasoline, chemicals, or other harmful materials shall be deposited or <br /> disposed within the dripline of the trees or in drainage channels, swales, or areas <br /> that may lead to the dripline. <br />
