WHEREAS, in order to protect the public safety, health and <br />welfare and in order to insure that there is no conflict with <br />the results of the study referred to above, the City Council on <br />July 2, 1973, adopted Ordinance No. 698 as an interim zoning <br />ordinance as an urgency measure; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 698 will expire on November 2, 1973 <br />and the same conditions exist as necessitated the adoption of <br />said ordinance; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting of October 29, 1973 <br />held a public hearing pursuant to Section 65858 of the Government <br />Code in order to extend the interim zoning on this property for <br />an additional eight (8) months. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br />does ordain as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The provisions of Ordinance No. 698 as they <br />relate to property shown on Zoning Unit Maps No. 133 (Qualified <br />Investments property) and No. 134 (Mission Park property) dated <br />June 20, 1973, are hereby extended for a period of eight (8) <br />months. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This ordinance is declared to be adopted pur-- <br />suant to Section 65858 of the Government Code of the State of <br />California and is necessary and required to protect the public <br />safety, health and welfare of the citizens of the City of <br />Pleasanton for the reason stated above. <br /> <br /> Section 3. This ordinance shall be of force and effect <br />immediately upon its passage and adoption and shall be of no <br />further force and effect eight (8) months from the date of its <br />adoption thereof unless extended as provided by lawr or unless, <br />prior to expiration, permanent zoning districts are established <br />with respect to the properties herein described. <br /> <br /> -2- <br /> <br /> <br />
