Councilmember Pentin mentioned it will be more difficult to reach out to individual homeowners as <br /> neighbor's may be hesitant to inform the City. Staff noted the Code Enforcement Officer's hours <br /> will be adjusted to monitor such residential leaf blowing. <br /> Mayor Thorne acknowledged there was an "app" available which can determine decibel levels. <br /> Councilmember Brown confirmed staff would contact City business license holders to notify them <br /> of the changes. <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Brown/Narum to introduce and waive first reading of Ordinance No. 2177 <br /> to amend Pleasanton Municipal Code Chapter 9.04 Noise Regulations to delete Section 9.04.045 <br /> Leaf blowers, thereby subjecting leaf blowers to general noise time restrictions and decibel limits. <br /> Motion passed by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Narum, Pentin, Olson, Mayor Thorne <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL— None <br /> COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> Mayor Thorne mentioned the Tri-Valley Mayors would be attending a meeting in Sacramento related to <br /> proposed new housing laws which may erode local control of land use. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:34 in memory the of City of Dublin <br /> Vice Mayor Don Biddle. The Council extended a tribute to our nation's men and women serving in the <br /> military.
