Consider adoption of a resolution approving the Emergency Operations Plan update <br /> City Manager Fialho noted this item is a requirement of State law in order to remain eligible for <br /> State and Federal funds, and deferred to Chris Gotley, Director of Emergency Services, Eco Tech <br /> (CHECK SPELLING). <br /> Mr. Gotley presented details of the City's Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) addressing <br /> Background, the Emergency Management Cycle, EOP Purpose, Format, Key Features, and Next <br /> Steps. <br /> In response to Councilmember Pentin's question regarding the GE Plant Storage Facility, Mr. <br /> Gotley reported the quantity of material stored there on an on-going basis does not rise to the <br /> level of significance. In further response to Councilmember Pentin, City Manager Fialho stated <br /> staff has already been trained and another twenty-five will be trained this year. <br /> Councilmember Narum commented on training and asked whether there was discussion about <br /> lessons learned other natural disasters. Mr. Gotley noted significant concerns were included in the <br /> plan. <br /> Vice Mayor Olson opened the public hearing. Vice Mayor Olson opened the public hearing. <br /> Seeing and hearing no one wishing to address Council, Vice Mayor Olson closed the public <br /> hearing. <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Narum/Brown to adopt and waive full reading of Resolution No. 18-1006 <br /> adopting the 2018 City of Pleasanton Emergency Operation Plan.
