Article 5 <br /> FEES <br /> <br />~4-5.37 Licens~e Fees. The annual dog license fees shall be <br /> as set forth in the fees and charges resolution <br /> <br />~4-5.38 Failure to procure License: Additional charge. Any <br /> person who fails to procure within forty-five (45) days <br /> of the date requiring such license shall, in addition to <br /> any penalty prescribed by this chapter, be subject to an <br /> additional charge, as set forth in the fees and charges <br /> resolution, which shall be added to the license fee and <br /> collected with the license fee. <br /> <br />~4-5.39 License Fee- One-HalfYear. If, within 30 days <br /> after a d~g is brought into the area or otherwise meets <br /> the requirement for a license, and after January 1 of <br /> license period, the license fee shall be as set forth ' <br /> the fees and charges resolution for the remainder of t <br /> license period If for any reason whatsoever a license <br /> is not obtained within the 30-day period, the penalty <br /> prescribed in ~4-5.38 above shall apply. <br /> <br />~4-5.40 Exception: "Seeing Eye" Dogs. "Seeing Eye" dogs <br /> owned and actually used by a blind person shall be <br /> exempt from a license fee as specified in this article. <br /> <br />S4-5.41 Exception: "Polic~'Dogs. Any dog owned by the <br /> County or a city and used by the Sheriff or police <br /> department in the performance of the function or duties <br /> of such department shall be exempt from a license fee as <br /> specified in this article. <br /> <br />94-5.42 Duplicate Tags. The fee for replacement of a curren~ <br /> tag which has been lost or stolen shall be as set forth <br /> in the fees and charges resolution. <br /> <br />S4-5.43 Charges Upon Impounded Animals. The Director shall <br /> charge, receive and collect for impounded animals those <br /> charges set forth in the fees and charges resolution. <br /> <br />~4-5 44 Additional Impoundment Charges If in any calendar <br /> year an animal is impounded more than once pursuant to <br /> this chapter, the impoundment charge shall be as set <br /> forth in the fees and charges resolution· <br /> <br />~4-5.45. Charges fo.r Feeding and Caring for Impounded <br /> Animals. The Director shall charge, receive, and <br /> collect for feeding and care of impounded animals the <br /> per diem charges as set forth in the fees and charges <br /> resolution. <br /> <br />~4-5.46 Penalties. Any person, firm, or corporation violat- <br /> ing any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deeme' <br /> guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, <br /> shall be punishable by a fine of not more than Fifty and <br /> no/100 Dollars ($50.00), or by imprisonment in the <br /> County Jail of the County of Alameda for a period of not! <br /> more than ten (10) days, or by both. Each person shall <br /> be deemed guilty of a separate offense for every day <br /> during any portion of which any violation of any provi- <br /> sion of this chapter is committed, continued, or permit- <br /> ted by such person, firm, or corporation, and shall be <br /> punishable therefor as provided by this chapter· <br /> <br /> <br />
