THE CITY OF 8 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTONL <br /> March 6, 2018 <br /> Engineering <br /> TITLE: ACCEPT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS PERFORMED BY MANITO <br /> CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR THE MEADOWLARK SEWER SIPHON <br /> PROJECT, CIP NO. 13226 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The project consisted of installation of 790 linear feet of 8-inch fusible PVC sewer main <br /> and 12-inch fusible PVC casing, utilizing directional drilling under 1-680 and Arroyo de la <br /> Laguna, and two 8-foot diameter, 15-foot deep diversion structures. City Council <br /> awarded the construction contract May 16, 2017. Construction of the project is complete <br /> and ready for City Council acceptance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the project as complete. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the project. <br /> 3. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $55,286.11 to Manito <br /> Construction, Inc. thirty days after the recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br /> 4. Authorize the return of$64,944 to the Annual Sewer Main Replacement and <br /> Improvements project, CIP No. 16202. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for this project totaled $1,377,895 which includes $533,930 from the Annual <br /> Sewer Main Replacement and Improvements project, CIP No. 16202, and $43,965.22 <br /> from the Yolanda Court Outfall Structure Repair project, CIP No. 17434. The total <br /> anticipated expenditures for the project are $1,312,952. The remaining project balance <br /> of $64,944 will be returned to the Annual Sewer Main Replacement and Improvements <br /> project, CIP No. 16202. <br />
