<br /> $14,748.00-Funds from this grant will be used to implement Phase 2 of the Z-Team Zero Waste awareness training series offered to
<br /> Alameda County and San Ramon non-profits.We plan to approach 75-100 groups,hold 50 trainings and train at least 500 people.
<br /> Most will be face-to-face though webinars offered to very small groups and those with scheduling issues.

<br /> County,Berkeley,West County,$14,000.00-Funds from this grant will be used to develop recommendations for CalRecycle's
<br /> stakeholder input and rulemaking process for SB 1383 related to edible food recovery,explore opportunities to replicate successful
<br /> food recovery models and create a crowd-sourced map and database of Food Assistance Organizations, Food Recovery Organizations
<br /> and Wasted Food Prevention and Recovery Resources.
<br /> Project Grant#: 17-51 Paul Patterson,Manure Diversion and Conversion to Soil Amendments,Dublin,East County,
<br /> $8,772.00-Funds from this grant will be used to divert one ton of each greens,browns and herbivore wastes from reaching Altamont
<br /> Landfill every month and produce just under one ton of finished soil each and every month.Funds will also be used to elevate the
<br /> awareness of vermicomposting and the value of worms in the ecosystem.
<br /> Project Grant#: 17-52 Montera Middle School,TranforMontera Recycling,Oakland,West County,$4,022.92-Funds from this
<br /> grant will be used to purchase 2 Pavilion recycling stations with Landfill,Recycling and Compost clearly marked to take their place
<br /> on campus.
<br /> The total 2017 Expenditure Plan budget of$265,000 for Project Grants was approved by the Board along with the option to
<br /> carry over all unexpended funds from previous grant years and expend if necessary. A total of$330,582.92 in Project Grants
<br /> was awarded.

<br /> Multi-Year Grant#:14-51(3)Community Action for a Sustainable Alameda,The 90 Percent Challenge,Alameda,West
<br /> County,$10,000.00-Funds from this grant will be used to work with all 4'grade teachers to sign up classrooms for the Davis Street
<br /> Transfer Station tour,work with all 5th grade teachers to implement the Student Action Project,sign up the Rock Steady Juggling
<br /> school assembly for each school,and ensure that all middle and high schools are participating in the Service Learning Waste
<br /> Reduction Project.
<br /> The total 2017 Expenditure Plan budget of$60,000 for Multi-Year Grants was approved by the Board along with the option to
<br /> carry over all unexpended funds from previous grant years and expend if necessary. A total of$70,000.00 in Multi-Year
<br /> Grants was awarded.
