EXHIBIT A <br /> Programming and Administrative Funding <br /> 2018-2023 <br /> To continue to preserve and commemorate the history of Pleasanton and the Livermore Valley the <br /> Museum on Main shall continue its progress that has been made this past year. <br /> The dollars will be used to help to underwrite staff salaries, public programs and supplies, including <br /> developing new walking tours that will include art and architecture, and a self-guided audio tour. The <br /> Museum's operating hours have be expanded to include Tuesdays and opening earlier in the day to <br /> accommodate additional foot traffic. <br /> Funding will used to support the implementation of the City and School District's Youth Master Plan <br /> through programs specifically geared for preschool, school age and adolescents:'young adults. In the <br /> preschool area,the Museum will continue to offer a new FREE preschool reading program once a <br /> month to help promote children's literacy through books and hands-on activities. <br /> For school age students, the Museum will offer hands-on inductive questioning education programs <br /> for school children. Two travelling trunks will be used in the classroom. One trunk is for the 3Td <br /> grade curriculum that provides an overview of the community history. The other trunk is for 4'h <br /> grade and centers on the Gold Rush and its impact on the region and state. These trunks are full of <br /> curriculum, background information, activities, music, objects, books, clothing, etc. to be used by the <br /> classroom teacher. The Museum will also offer a backpack program that will be given to families to <br /> have an intergenerational experience as they travel through town looking for Phoebe Hearst on her <br /> daily errands. <br /> For adolescents young adults, the Museum shall continue to provide its junior volunteer program <br /> where students can regularly volunteer at the Museum and complete their required community <br /> volunteer service requirement. <br /> City funding will also be used to underwrite the day to day operations costs of the facility including <br /> utilities such as trash pickup and telephones. <br /> 5 Page <br />
