PLEASANTONC CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />5 <br />February 6, 2018 <br />Engineering <br />TITLE: REJECT ALL BIDS RECEIVED FOR THE SOFTBALL FIELDHOUSE AND <br />SCOREKEEPER'S BOOTH RENOVATION PROJECT, CIP NO. 17746, <br />AND THE DOLORES BENGTSON AQUATIC CENTER LOCKER ROOM <br />RENOVATION PROJECT, CIP NO. 17706 <br />SUMMARY <br />Plans and specifications were prepared for the following two Capital Improvement <br />Program (CIP) projects: (1) the Softball Fieldhouse and Scorekeeper's Booth <br />Renovation project, CIP No. 17746, and (2) the Dolores Bengtson Aquatic Center <br />(DBAC) Locker Room Renovation project, CIP No. 17706. Construction bids for both <br />projects were received on December 1, 2017. There were two bidders for the Softball <br />Fieldhouse project, and only one bidder for the DBAC project. Staff analyzed the bids <br />and recommends rejecting all bids as they are substantially above the Engineering <br />construction cost estimates. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. Reject all of the bids received on December 1, 2017, for the Softball Fieldhouse and <br />Scorekeeper's Booth Renovation project, CIP No. 17746. <br />2. Reject the only bid received on December 1, 2017, for the Dolores Bengtson Aquatic <br />Center Locker Room Renovation project, CIP No. 17706. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />There is not a financial impact associated with this action. <br />
