CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 691 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, TITLE II OF THE <br /> ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AND <br /> ADDITION THERETO OP ARTICLE 15-5 PROVIDING FOR <br /> A HISTORICAL LANDMARK OVERLAY ZONING DISTRICT. <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OP THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> I. <br /> <br /> Chapter 2 of Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City <br /> <br />i]of Pleasanton is hereby amended by the addition thereto of <br /> Article 15-5 providing for an H-O (Historical Landmark Overlay) <br /> District, said Article as added to provide as follows: <br /> <br /> Article 15.5 <br /> <br /> H-O (Historical Landmark Overlay) District <br /> <br /> §2-9.1t Purpose. The H-O (Historical Landmark Overlay) <br /> <br /> District is established for the purpose of protecting and <br /> preserving sites or structures which are, because of age, <br /> association or architecture of special historical or <br /> aesthetic interest or character and which, as such, have <br /> an impact upon the economic well being and general welfare <br /> of the residents of the City of Pleasanton <br /> <br />i~§2-9.12 Initiation. An amendment to reclassify property to <br /> an H-O District may be initiated by the property owner, <br /> City Planning Commission, City Council or the Historical <br /> Landmark Advisory Committee. <br /> <br /> §2-9.13 Historical Landmark Advisory Committee. There is <br /> hereby created a Historical Landmark Advisory Committee <br /> which shall advise the Department of Community Development, <br /> Planning Commission and City Council on matters relating <br /> to the designation and preservation of historical landmarks. <br /> The Committee shall consist of five voting members ap~~ <br /> pointed by the City Council and serving at its pleasure <br /> <br /> <br />
