13. Water and Sewer Utilities. <br />a. The public water line main loop shall be a minimum of 12 inches in <br />diameter. <br />b. The public sanitary line main loop shall be a minimum of eight inches in <br />diameter. <br />c. The applicant shall attempt to achieve a public sanitary sewer pipe slope of <br />0.005 (0.5 percent) with a velocity of 2.0% per second. A slope of <br />0.003 (0.3 percent) is acceptable, if necessary to meet site conditions. <br />d. The applicant shall attempt to achieve a gutter slope of 0.75 percent. <br />e. Each parcel shall have a separate water meter, unless waived by the City <br />Engineer. <br />With the exception of the public water line loop and sewer line loop, all <br />water and sewer lines on site shall be private laterals. The laterals shall tie <br />into the public water and sewer lines. <br />g. All private sewer and water laterals shall be marked "private". The location <br />of the markings shall be subject to the review and approval of the City <br />Engineer prior to the issuance of a building permit. <br />h. All water service laterals shall be equipped with backflow prevention <br />devices, unless waived by the City Engineer. The type of back flow <br />prevention device used shall be shown on the plans, prior to the issuance of <br />a building permit, and shall be subject to the review and approval of the City <br />Engineer. <br />i. Utilities to be owned and maintained by the City shall be located in a public <br />right of way or PSE with sufficient access for maintenance. The location <br />and width of a PSE shall be subject to the review and approval of the City <br />Engineer prior to the recordation of a Final Map for the PUD project site or <br />issuance of a building permit, whichever occurs first. <br />j. Prior to the issuance of a building permit, the plans shall be revised to show <br />separate private water mains to each building for fire sprinkler service. <br />k. A sanitary sewer sampling manhole shall be provided on any new sanitary <br />sewer lateral from a building with a commercial use, unless otherwise <br />determined by the City Engineer. <br />I. Prior to the issuance of a building permit, a typical street section shall be <br />shown on the plans for each street (including private streets) showing how <br />the utilities (public water, public sewer, storm drain, private water and <br />�7 <br />
