Ground Cover <br />• Bearberry Manzanita (plant tolerates some aridity) <br />• Ceanothus griseus (plant tolerates some aridity) <br />• Native rushes and sedges <br />• Turf (no more than 30% of total landscaping ground cover) <br />A few additional decorative groundcover species may be used, if the <br />species are known to tolerate some aridity and thrive in/near a <br />bioswale. <br />(iv.) Revise the plans such that a minimum of six additional evergreen trees <br />are provided in the perimeter landscaping strip located east of building <br />F. <br />(v.) Revise the plans to show an offset double row of triangularly spaced <br />London Plane street trees spaced 50 feet on center (32 feet triangular <br />spacing) along Stoneridge Drive and EI Charro Road. <br />(vi.) Revise the plans to show at least two London Plane street trees west <br />of the private entrance road. <br />(vii.) Revise the plans to show a variety of ground cover and shrub clusters <br />on both sides of the sidewalk along Stoneridge Drive, along EI Charro <br />Road, and where the bus stop is shown on Exhibit B. Groundcover <br />shall be kept to a minimum, as groundcover typically requires more <br />water than shrubs. Turf shall not be used. The shrubs and <br />groundcover shall include some or all of the following species: <br />Shrubs <br />• Acacia redolens (plant tolerates some aridity) <br />• Ceanothus "Yankee Point" (plant tolerates some aridity) <br />• Shrub blocks of crape myrtle (plant tolerates some aridity) <br />Ground Cover <br />• Hemerocallis 'Stella d'oro'—Dwarf yellow Daylily (plant tolerates <br />some aridity; requires regular water during blooming season) <br />• Erigeron karvinskianus=Santa Barbara Daisy (plant tolerates some <br />aridity) <br />• Cottoneaster "Lowfast" (plant tolerates some aridity) <br />• Rosmarinus officinalis (plant tolerates some aridity) <br />A few additional decorative species may be used, if the species are <br />known to tolerate some aridity. <br />(viii.)Revise the plans such that to the extent practical, all on-site plant <br />species shall be of a drought tolerant nature. <br />7 <br />
