or to any building or structure located on such restricted <br /> streets or for the purpose of delivering materials to be <br /> used in the actual and bona fide repair, alteration, <br /> remodeling or construction of any building or structure <br /> upon such restricted streets for which a building permit <br /> has previously been obtained therefor. The City Traffic <br /> Engineer is authorized and directed to erect and maintain <br /> appropriate signs as necessary to implement this Section <br /> of the Ordinance. <br /> <br />~' The provisions of this Section shall not apply to: <br />!~ 1 Passenger buses under the jurisdiction of the Public <br />i~ Utilities Commission. <br /> <br /> 2. Any vehicle owned by a public utility while necessarily <br />'! in use in the construction, installation or repair <br />~i of any public utility. <br /> <br />!i 3. School buses while carrying students to and from <br />" school. <br /> <br />' 4. Pickup trucks. <br /> <br />!i~5-5.04 Movement of Oversize or Overweight Equipment. The City <br />~! Traffic Engineer may, by written permit, authorize a load <br />,. or loads in excess of sizes or weights allowed for in the <br />~, Vehicle Code if, in his judgment, the streets upon which <br />~ such vehicle is to be operated can safely withstand the <br />i loads, or if the applicant will guarantee to the City that <br />~i all costs of repair to the streets or to the public propert5 <br />i~ of the City damaged by the movement of such load or loads <br />i! will be paid in full.
