Sincerely yours, Ellen Holmgren, Administrative Assistant City of Pleasanton From:Anne Fox Sent:Tuesday, December 05, 2017 2:19 PM To: Mayor and City Council<citycouncil@cityofpleasantonca.gov> Subject: Request for Continuation of Item 14-Mapping Measure PP Southeast Hills Hello, I've briefly reviewed the documents staff prepared for the City Council and find that the staff report does not contain any of the previous maps prepared of the various properties in question, including the Oak Grove site that were completed during various other times when other Planning Directors were in charge of the department (e.g., Brian Swift and Jerry Iserson). Any policies adopted by the voters in Measure PP can only be amended by the voters of Pleasanton, thus any mapping exercise to delete ridgelines or sections of ridgelines does not change the overall protection of ridgelines in Pleasanton. That is because the language states that the protections in Measure PP can only be amended by the voters of Pleasanton in a General election. All ridgelines are protected, thus staff attempting to downgrade certain ridgelines as "spurs" is irrelevant. Ridgeline maps that were in effect in November 2008 are the ridgelines protected, and downgrading some ridgelines as spurs or lower elevation ridgelines does not remove any protections enacted by the voters in November 2008. 1
