(c) Residential Dwelling Unit. As used in this <br /> Article, ~residential dwelling unit" shall <br /> mean a building or a portion of a building <br /> planned, designed or used as a residence for <br /> one family only living independently of other <br /> families or persons and having its own bathroom <br /> and housekeeping facilities in said unit, <br /> (for example, a onemfamily dwelling, each unit <br /> of a two-family dwelling, each unit of a multiple <br /> dwelling in each apartment in an apartment house). <br /> ~TResidential dwelling unit" shall include any <br /> building or portion thereof the asSemblyt 10catingt <br /> erecting or altering of construction materials, <br /> components or modules 0£ which must be authorized <br /> by a building permit". <br /> <br /> (d) Person. As used in this Article, "person~ shall <br /> mean any domestic or foreign corporation, firm, <br /> association, syndicate, joint stock company, <br /> partnership of any kind, joint venture, club, <br /> Massachusetts business or common law trust, <br /> society or individual. <br /> <br />1-6 62 Residential Construction Tax. A residential <br /> construction tax is hereby imposed upon the privilege <br /> of constructing in the City of Pleasanton any mobile <br /> home lot or residential dwelling unit and every person <br /> to whom a permit to construct any residential dwelling <br /> unit in the City of Pleasanton is issued and every <br /> person to whom a permit to connect to sewer and water <br /> lines to service a mobile home lot in a mobile home <br /> park in the City of Pleasanton is issued shall pay to <br /> the City of Pleasanton such tax at the following rate: <br /> <br /> (a) Residential Dwelling Unit: <br /> <br /> 0 - 1 bedroom m $ 45.00 <br /> 2 bedrooms - $ 60 00 <br /> 3 bedrooms - $ 75.00 <br /> 4 bedrooms $ 90.00 <br /> 5 bedrooms - $105.00 <br /> <br /> (b) Mobile Home Lot: - $ 60.00 <br /> <br />1-6.63 Time of Payment and Refunds. The residential <br /> construction tax herein required to be paid shall be <br /> due and payable upon issuance by the City of Pleasanton <br /> of a building permit for the construction of any resi- <br /> dential dwelling unit or upon issuance by the City of <br /> Pleasanton of a permit to connect to sewer and water <br /> lines to service a mobile home lot in a mobile home <br /> park., and no such permit shall be issued until said tax <br /> is paid; provided, however~ that there shall be a refund <br /> of such tax to the person who paid such in the event <br /> that the building permit or permit to connect to sewer <br /> and water lines to service a mobile home lot in a mobile <br /> home park expires, within the meaning of ~ 302(d) of <br /> the Uniform Building Code, 19~0 Edition Volume I <br /> if within thirty (30) days after the date of such <br /> piration written application for such refund is filed <br /> by the person who paid such tax setting forth in full <br /> the facts showing that such permit has expired. <br /> <br /> -2- <br /> <br /> <br />
