AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF TITLE I OF THE iiORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON BY THE ADDITION THERETO OF ARTICLE 6 PROVIDING FOR A LICENSE TAX UPON THE CONSTRUCTION OF RESIDENTIAL DWELLING UNITS AND MOBILE HOME LOTS. ~THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: I. Chapter 2 of Title I, of the Ordinance Code of the City ~iof Pleasanton is hereby amended by the addition thereto of 'Article 6 relating to a li cens e tax upon the business o£ constructin !esidential dwellingt units and mobile home lots, said Article !~s added, to provide as follows: Article 6 License Tax Upon ~onstruction of Residential Dwelling Units ~nd Mobile Home Lots ~ 9 1-6.60 Findings. The City Council finds that rapid 1! development of land within the City of Pleasanton has created a need for public improvements and facili- I, ties including but not necessarily limited to fire l~ stations and fire fighting equipment, parks and I libraries, street improvements and bridges which with ~, existing revenue cannot presently be satisfied by the ~l City and that the need therefor is attributable for i; the most part to construction of residential dwelling units and mobile home lots within the City. ~! § 1-6.61 Definitions. !I (a) Constructing. As used in this Article ~vcons tructingv~ shall mean the ass emb ling, locating, erecting, or altering of construction materials, components or modules into a building or structure when such work must be authorized by a building permit. ~ (b) Mobile home lot As used in this Article ii "mobile home lot~ shall mean any area or ~i portion of any mobile home park designated, !i designed or used for the occupancy of one mobile ~! home on a temporary, semi-permanent or permanent !i basis.
