The plan conforms to the purposes of the PUD District. <br /> <br />The proposed PUD prezoning and development plan conforms to the <br />purposes ofthe PUD district. One of these purposes is to insure that the <br />desires of the developer and the community are understood and approved <br />prior to commencement of construction. Another is to provide a <br />mechanism whereby the City can designate parcels and areas requiring <br />special consideration regarding the manner in which development occurs. <br />The proposed project conforms to these purposes because this "infill" site <br />is a parcel which requires special consideration, with input from the <br />surrounding residents, as to how this parcel will be developed. The <br />developer has responded to many of the concerns ofthe adjacent residents <br />and has incorporated most of those changes into the current development <br />plan. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the proposed prezoning and development <br />plan are in conformance with the policies and programs ofthe General Plan and <br />the PUD ordinance. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Recommends approval of Case PUD-96-l4, the application of the De Silva Group <br />for Planned Unit Development pre-zoning to PUD-LDR (Planned Unit <br />Development - Low Density Residential) and development plan approval to allow <br />89 single-family homes on approximately 46 acres located between Foothill Road <br />and Interstate 680 adjoining the Foothill Knolls subdivision to the south and the <br />Foothill Farms subdivision to the north, subject to the conditions shown in Exhibit <br />"B," attached hereto and made part of this case by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br />
