Resolution No. PC-98-46 Page 4 Other purposes of the PUD district are to accommodate changing market conditions and community desires and to encourage efficient use of small, odd-sized parcels difficult for development. The proposed project also complies with these purposes as the PUD rezoning and development plan is needed since the zoning ordinance doesn't address this exact use and the PUD allows the City and applicants the opportunity to make this specific use work on this odd-shaped site. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the proposed rezoning and development plan are in conformance with the policies and programs of the General Plan and the PUD ordinance, and that the project is attractively designed and will be compatible with the neighborhood. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Section 2. Recommends approval of Case PUD-98-04, the application of Marriott Senior Living Services for Planned Unit Development rezoning and development plan approval for a senior living facility consisting of 142 rooms (167 beds) for assisted living units, Alzheimer's units, and skilled nursing units located at 3534-3622 Old Santa Rita Road, subject to the conditions shown in Exhibit "B," attached hereto and made part of this case by reference. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
