<br />Resolution No. PC-98-46 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />Other purposes of the PUD district are to accommodate changing market <br />conditions and community desires and to encourage efficient use of small, <br />odd-sized parcels difficult for development. The proposed project also <br />complies with these purposes as the PUD rezoning and development plan <br />is needed since the zoning ordinance doesn't address this exact use and the <br />PUD allows the City and applicants the opportunity to make this specific <br />use work on this odd-shaped site. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the proposed rezoning and development plan <br />are in conformance with the policies and programs of the General Plan and the <br />PUD ordinance, and that the project is attractively designed and will be <br />compatible with the neighborhood. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />Recommends approval of Case PUD-98-04, the application of Marriott Senior <br />Living Services for Planned Unit Development rezoning and development plan <br />approval for a senior living facility consisting of 142 rooms (167 beds) for <br />assisted living units, Alzheimer's units, and skilled nursing units located at <br />3534-3622 Old Santa Rita Road, subject to the conditions shown in Exhibit "B," <br />attached hereto and made part of this case by reference. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON ON THE 24TH DAY OF JUNE 1998 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Commissioners Kumaran Maas, Roberts, and Chair Cooper <br />Commissioner Sullivan <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />~~ <br /> <br />Peggy fu <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />GeOf~{ ~ <br /> <br />Chair <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />Lt~Vf!: ~~. ~ <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney <br />
