<br />Impact D2: Wastewater Exoort Caoacitv. The wastewater export demand of the Specific Plan <br />project, together with the demand generated by other future development which is planned, <br />approved, or proposed through buildout, would contribute to an impending shortfall in <br />Pleasanton's export capacity in the Livermore-Amador Valley Wastewater Management <br />Authority pipeline and the Authority's anticipated need to expand pipeline capacity. (Cumulative) <br /> <br />Mitigation <br />Measure D2: It is recommended that the Livermore-Amador Valley Wastewater Management <br />Authority's expand its pipeline capacity. <br /> <br />Findings: Wastewater generated from this project, in conjunction with other approved, planned <br />or proposed projects in the service area of the Livermore-Amador Valley Wastewater <br />Management Authority, and the need to export this wastewater, will result in the Authority's need <br />to expand its pipeline to increase capacity. Such an action is beyond the control of the City. <br /> <br />Rationale for <br />Finding: Wastewater from the Treatment Plant is exported by the Authority to facilities in San <br />Leandro. The project's cumulative production of wastewater, and resulting need for water export <br />capacity, will include wastewater generated by the golf course (with a clubhouse) and up to 179 <br />new housing units. In addition, some existing housing units will join the City's sanitary sewer <br />system. The project's demands, combined with other regional demands from future development, <br />will exceed the Authority's current export capacity (See EIR Table 22.) The Authority has been <br />seeking to provide expanded capacity, and is involved in multi-party negotiations. See "Statement <br />of Overriding Considerations" for the specific benefits of the project. <br />
