Impact D2: Wastewater Exoort Caoacitv. The wastewater export demand of the Specific Plan
project, together with the demand generated by other future development which is planned,
approved, or proposed through buildout, would contribute to an impending shortfall in
Pleasanton's export capacity in the Livermore-Amador Valley Wastewater Management
Authority pipeline and the Authority's anticipated need to expand pipeline capacity. (Cumulative)

Mitigation
Measure D2: It is recommended that the Livermore-Amador Valley Wastewater Management
Authority's expand its pipeline capacity.

Findings: Wastewater generated from this project, in conjunction with other approved, planned
or proposed projects in the service area of the Livermore-Amador Valley Wastewater
Management Authority, and the need to export this wastewater, will result in the Authority's need
to expand its pipeline to increase capacity. Such an action is beyond the control of the City.

Rationale for
Finding: Wastewater from the Treatment Plant is exported by the Authority to facilities in San
Leandro. The project's cumulative production of wastewater, and resulting need for water export
capacity, will include wastewater generated by the golf course (with a clubhouse) and up to 179
new housing units. In addition, some existing housing units will join the City's sanitary sewer
system. The project's demands, combined with other regional demands from future development,
will exceed the Authority's current export capacity (See EIR Table 22.) The Authority has been
seeking to provide expanded capacity, and is involved in multi-party negotiations. See "Statement
of Overriding Considerations" for the specific benefits of the project.
