<br />Police Department Requirements: <br /> <br />45. The area of the development shall be tested for strength and clarity of signal to and <br />from the area for City emergency services communications including, but not lim- <br />ited to, City eight-hundred mega-hertz (800 mgh) trunked radio, Livermore-Pleas- <br />anton Fire Services radio, Alameda County eight-hundred mega-hertz (800 mgh) <br />trunked radio, CLEMAR/Police Dispatch, and the current police mobile data sys- <br />tem, unless waived by the Police Department, City of Pleasant on. Expert opinions <br />may be required in anticipation of communications difficulties inside or around <br />large structures. Mitigation plans of less than acceptable communications shall be <br />submitted to the satisfaction of the Police Department prior to approval and shall <br />be financed by the project developer immediately upon approval. <br /> <br />Fire Department Requirements: <br /> <br />46. The project developer shall meet all requirements of the Pleasanton Fire Code <br />(Pleasanton Municipal Code, Chapter 20.24). <br /> <br />47. The project developer shall keep the site free of fire hazards from the start oflum- <br />ber construction until the final inspection. <br /> <br />48. Prior to any construction framing, the project developer shall provide adequate fire <br />protection facilities, including, but not limited to surface roads, fire hydrants, and a <br />water supply and water flow in conformance to the City's Fire Department Stan- <br />dards able to suppress a major fire. When alternate rnethods of fire protection are <br />approved by the Fire Chief, this requirement may be waived or modified. Pro- <br />posed alternative methods of fire protection shall be submitted in writing to the <br />Fire Chief prior to any framing construction. Work on the alternative fire protec- <br />tion methods shall not begin until approved by the Fire Chief. <br /> <br />49. The Fire Chief and the City Engineer shall approve the number, type, and location <br />of all public fire hydrants. The Fire Chief and the Director of Building Inspection <br />shall approve the number, type, and location of all private fire hydrants. <br /> <br />50. All curbs located within a seven foot, six inch (7' 6") radius of a public/private fire <br />hydrant shall be painted red, unless, modified by the Fire Chief.
