the Uniform Housing Code of 1970, said chapter as added to provide as follows: "Chapter 10 Uniform Housing Code Article 1 Adoption of Uniform Housing Code ~2-16.32 Adoption of Uniform Housing Code. There is hereby adopted by the City of Pleasanton the Uniform Housing Code of 1970 except such portions are hereinafter amended,i modified or deleted and the same is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein. Said Uniform Housing Code is the Uniform Housing Code, 1970 edition, prepared by the International Conference of Building Officials, a certified copy of which is on file with the City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton. Article 2 Enforcement - Appeals ~2-16.42 Enforcement. This chapter and the adopted code shall be enforced by the Director of Community Development of the City of Pleasanton acting either directly or through properly authorized agents acting within the scope of the particular duties delegated to them by the Director of Community Development; for such purpose the Director of Community Development or his agent shall have the powers of a police officer. The procedure for enforcement is granting of variances, notice, appeals, penalties and liability shall be consistent with the procedures there- for provided for in Article 2, Chapter 3, Title II of this code." V. ~iProvisions herein and in Ordinances 616 through 619 amending iiChapters 3, 5, 6, 7 of Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City ~!of Pleasanton dealing with Uniform Building, Plumbing, Electrical and Mechanical Codes, respectively, relating to amendments to and ~deletions from said uniform codes are necessary to accommodate ~administrative procedures of the City or, based upon recommendation of the Director of Community Development of the City of Pleasanton,! :required in view of local administrative or construction practices i, or by peculiar soil, weather or other conditions requiring vari- i~ance from the provisions of the codes herein adopted. -2-
