the Uniform Housing Code of 1970, said chapter as added to provide <br /> as follows: <br /> <br /> "Chapter 10 <br /> Uniform Housing Code <br /> <br /> Article 1 <br /> Adoption of Uniform Housing Code <br /> <br /> ~2-16.32 Adoption of Uniform Housing Code. There is hereby <br /> adopted by the City of Pleasanton the Uniform Housing <br /> Code of 1970 except such portions are hereinafter amended,i <br /> modified or deleted and the same is hereby adopted and <br /> incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein. <br /> <br /> Said Uniform Housing Code is the Uniform Housing Code, <br /> 1970 edition, prepared by the International Conference of <br /> Building Officials, a certified copy of which is on file <br /> with the City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Article 2 <br /> Enforcement - Appeals <br /> <br /> ~2-16.42 Enforcement. This chapter and the adopted code shall <br /> be enforced by the Director of Community Development of <br /> the City of Pleasanton acting either directly or through <br /> properly authorized agents acting within the scope of the <br /> particular duties delegated to them by the Director of <br /> Community Development; for such purpose the Director of <br /> Community Development or his agent shall have the powers <br /> of a police officer. The procedure for enforcement is <br /> granting of variances, notice, appeals, penalties and <br /> liability shall be consistent with the procedures there- <br /> for provided for in Article 2, Chapter 3, Title II of <br /> this code." <br /> <br /> V. <br /> <br />~iProvisions herein and in Ordinances 616 through 619 amending <br />iiChapters 3, 5, 6, 7 of Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City <br />~!of Pleasanton dealing with Uniform Building, Plumbing, Electrical <br /> <br /> and Mechanical Codes, respectively, relating to amendments to and <br /> ~deletions from said uniform codes are necessary to accommodate <br /> ~administrative procedures of the City or, based upon recommendation <br /> <br /> of the Director of Community Development of the City of Pleasanton,! <br />:required in view of local administrative or construction practices <br />i, or by peculiar soil, weather or other conditions requiring vari- <br />i~ance from the provisions of the codes herein adopted. <br /> <br /> -2- <br /> <br /> <br />
