CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1782 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE COMBINATION OF <br /> PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD) ZONING <br /> DISTRICTS FOR THE VINEYARD AVENUE CORRIDOR <br /> SPECIFIC PLAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied for a combination of PUD rezoning (and <br /> pre-zoning of Lots 32 and 33 for a seven-acre minor annexation) for different areas <br /> within the 384-acre Vineyard Avenue Corridor Specific Plan Area located in the <br /> southeastern portion of the City, approximately 2-1/2 miles south of 1-580 and four <br /> miles east ofi-680 as indicated on Exhibit A; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton provided proper legal notice of the availability of the Draft <br /> Environmental Impact Report CEIR") for this Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, following several noticed public hearings, found the <br /> combination of PUD zoning (and pre-zoning) districts for the Vineyard Avenue <br /> Corridor Specific Plan Area to be consistent with the Pleasanton General Plan and <br /> Vineyard Avenue Corridor Specific Plan Area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after holding noticed public hearings on May 18, 1999 and June 1, 1999, the City <br /> Council, after considering all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br /> recommendations of City staff conceming this proposal, approved the Final <br /> Environmental Impact Report prepared for this (pre)zoning; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council determined that the (pre)zoning of the subject properties to the <br /> combination of PUD zoning designations would provide the Vineyard Avenue <br /> Corridor Area the opportunity to develop in conformance with the land use <br /> designations and policies of the General Plan and the Vineyard Avenue Corridor <br /> Specific Plan and in conformance with the prevailing development pattems of the <br /> surrounding area. <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
