for approval, and has from Day 1, no matter who objects or what facts are presented. We have lost what little
we had in terms of democracy in Pleasanton in recent years, and now policy and decisions are made by a small
cabal of city staff, the Chamber of Commerce, businesses, and developers. Maybe it has always been this
way. But the City Council no longer represents the public, except for the beneficiaries of the small
cabal. Those of us of good faith who believe in self-government have only one hope left: that in your hubris to
undermine the public process, understate the environment impacts of the project, and to inappropriately divert
public funds to get your beloved Economic Development Zone project approved has left you open to legal
challenge. But the damage you have done far exceeds that of a Costco. You have literally destroyed
representative democracy and imposed oligarchy in Pleasanton. Congratulations!
Is there any one of you with the courage to speak to this tonight?
Matt Sullivan
cell (415) 533-8164
Click here to report this email as spam.
2
