SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIAL
Annette Brecheisen Provided to the City Council
From: Ellen Holmgren SEP 0 5 2011
Sent Tuesday, September 05, 2017 9:50 AM Date •
To: Justin Brown; Nelson Fialho; Gerry Beaudin
Cc: Mayor and City Council; Pleasanton City Clerk; Mike Tassano; Kendall Granucci
Subject: RE: Pleasanton City Council Meeting Agenda
Dear Justin Brown,
Thank you for your additional email regarding Item 16 on the September 5, 2017, City Council Agenda
regarding the Junipero Street/Independence Drive Traffic Calming Plan.
This email acknowledges receipt of your email to the Mayor and City Council and the City Manager.
Thank you again for your interest in the City of Pleasanton.
Sincerely yours,
Ellen Holmgren, Administrative Assistant
City of Pleasanton
Ellen Holmgren
Administrative Assistant
City Attorney's Office
x-5016
From:Justin Brown [mailto:.
Sent:Sunday, September 03, 2017 3:59 PM
To: Nelson Fialho<NFialho @cityofpleasantonca.gov>; Gerry Beaudin <gbeaudin @cityofpleasantonca.gov>
Cc: Mayor and City Council <citycouncil @cityofpleasantonca.gov>
Subject: Re: Pleasanton City Council Meeting Agenda
I happened to walk my dog to the park today before the heat climbed above 90 degrees and thus felt a need to
make some minor corrections on my earlier statement made based on memory alone:
The Independence Drive & Junipero Street intersection has a sidewalk on 1 side and crosswalks on 2
sides (not 3 as I previously stated). Also the distance from the 7 homes to the intersection is more than
100 feet but net of taking out a tape measure equates to a corner property on the court plus only 1 other
until you reach the alternate intersection with existing crosswalks (Junipero/Independence Dr). Also
there is in fact a partial sidewalk North from Independence Ct but it only traverses past the corner house
& the one after ; as I previously stated it does not connect up to Arelene Place and thus negates a real
benefit of a N/S crosswalk at that location.
My other statements regarding a crossing at the SW corner at Mission Drive being a much more beneficial
choice for the community are all still equally valid.
1
