5. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Consent Calendar items are considered routine and will be enacted, approved, or <br />adopted by one motion unless a request for removal for discussion or <br />explanation is received from the Planning Commission or a member of the public <br />by submitting a speaker card for that item. <br />Commissioner Balch recused himself from Item 5.a. due to a conflict of interest. <br />a. P14 -1143, Islamic Center of Zahra <br />Application for a Conditional Use Permit to operate a religious facility <br />within an existing building located at 1059 Serpentine Lane within Valley <br />Business Park. Zoning for the property is PUD -1 (Planned Unit <br />Development - Industrial) District. <br />Commissioner Allen moved to make the required Conditional Use Permit findings <br />as listed in the staff report and to approve Case P14 -1143, subject to the <br />Conditions of Approval as listed in Exhibit A of the staff report. <br />Commissioner Piper seconded the motion. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioners Allen, O'Connor, Piper, and Ritter <br />NOES: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />RECUSED: Commissioner Balch <br />ABSENT: None <br />Resolution No. PC 2014 -52 approving Case P14 -1143 was entered and adopted as <br />motioned. <br />Commissioner Balch joined the Commission for Item 5.b. <br />b. P14 -1169, B &T Auto Sales <br />Application for a Conditional Use Permit to establish automobile sales <br />in conjunction with an existing automotive repair /smog business at <br />4262 Stanley Boulevard.
