MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION ON ANY ITEM WHICH IS NOT ALREADY ON THE <br />AGENDA <br />There were no members of the audience wishing to address the Commission. <br />4. REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Janice Stern advised that there were no revisions or omissions to the Agenda. <br />5. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Consent Calendar items are considered routine and will be enacted, approved, or <br />adopted by one motion unless a request for removal for discussion or <br />explanation is received from the Planning Commission or a member of the public <br />by submitting a speaker card for that item. <br />There were no items for consideration under the Consent Calendar. <br />6. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br />a. P13 -0336, Michael Roseberry <br />Work Session to review and receive comments on a Preliminary Review <br />application to: (1) replace the existing auto service use with a 24 -hour <br />7- Eleven convenience market and a drive - through carwash; (2) add <br />approximately 700 - square feet to the existing building; and (3) modify the <br />existing site improvements at the existing Valero service station located at <br />3192 Santa Rita Road. Zoning for the property is C -N (Neighborhood <br />Commercial) District. <br />Jenny Soo presented the staff report and briefly described the scope, layout, and key <br />elements of the proposal. <br />Ms. Soo informed the Commission that staff is striking out Discussion Point No. 3 regarding <br />on -site parking. She explained that the California Fire Code states that a self -serve gas <br />station that meets the parking requirements is not required to have any attendants on -site. <br />She noted that the proposed application meets the required parking, and, therefore, no <br />parking spaces would be required for the gas station. <br />Commissioner Ritter asked for typical examples of other commercial buildings in a C -N <br />(Neighborhood Commercial) Zoning District in Pleasanton that might be a gas station or car <br />repair shop. <br />Ms. Soo replied that gas stations are allowed in a C -N District.
