Mr. Dolan stated that the City Manager was aware of these two opportunities and said <br />that if any of the Commissioners want to go, he will find the money for them. He added <br />that Planning staff did not know that these opportunities would be available to the <br />Commission until quite recently. He noted that the League of California Cities <br />conference is offered more frequently in Monterey. <br />Commissioner Pearce stated that the conferences are extremely valuable, if <br />Commissioners have an opportunity to go. <br />Commissioner Posson indicated that he would have signed up but he has a teaching <br />commitment on Friday. <br />Chair Blank noted that these conferences are published way ahead of time and <br />requested that staff inform the Commissioners of conferences scheduled for the rest of <br />this year as some among them are still working, unlike Commissioner Olson. <br />Commissioner Pearce noted that the Yosemite conference is on a weekend. <br />Commissioner O'Connor commented that it would be nice to have a little longer notice. <br />Planning Commission Packets <br />Chair Blank complimented staff on getting the packets out a little bit earlier and inquired <br />if they could be delivered on Thursday the next time. <br />Mr. Dolan replied that staff would aim for that. <br />Chair Blank noted that the Commissioner's Handbook requires that it be available by <br />Wednesday. <br />c.
