Work on the alternative fire protection methods shall not begin until approved by <br />the Fire Chief. <br /> <br />86. <br /> <br />The Fire Chief and the City Engineer shall approve the number, type, and location of all <br />public fire hydrants. <br /> <br />87. <br /> <br />All curbs located with seven foot, six inch radius of a public/private fire hydrant shall be <br />painted red, unless, modified by the Fire Chief. Blue street "hydrant markers" shall be <br />installed for all fire hydrants per City of Pleasanton Standard Specifications. <br /> <br />88. <br /> <br />All public and private driveways designated as fire lanes by the Fire Chief shall be main- <br />tained in accordance with Articles 9 and 10 of the Uniform Fire Code, which permits <br />towing vehicles illegally parked on the fire lanes. Fire lane curbs shall be painted red <br />with "No Parking, Fire Lane, Tow Away Zone" or "No Parking, Fire Lane, Tow Away <br />Zone" signs shall be installed as required by the Vehicle Code. <br /> <br />Engineering Requirements: <br /> <br />89. <br /> <br />The typical street sections shall be revised to include an eight foot wide Public Service <br />Easements (PSE). Where the sidewalk is monolithic to the back of curb, the Public Ser- <br />vice Easements (PSE) shall be located eight feet behind the sidewalk to allow the installa- <br />tion of public utilities behind the sidewalk. In areas where there is no sidewalk, the eight <br />foot easement shall be measured from the back of curb. Unless otherwise approved by <br />the City Engineer the first five feet of the easement shall be graded at a two-pereent grade <br />towards the street. This change shall be shown on the tentative subdivision map submit- <br />ted for review and approval by the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />90. <br /> <br />For Section "C-C" (Vineyard Avenue), the maximum depth of the roadside "V"-ditch <br />shall be six inches unless otherwise approved by the City Engineer. The project devel- <br />oper's engineer shall demonstrate to the satisfaction of the City Engineer that the 10-year <br />storm event is contained within the "V"-ditch. <br /> <br />91. <br /> <br />92. <br /> <br />93. <br /> <br />For Court "A", the median island located in the middle of the cul-de-sac bulb shall be <br />maintained by the homeowner's association. <br /> <br />For Section "K-K", there shall be a concrete "V"-ditch located behind the two-foot <br />retaining wall. The "V"-ditch shall be connected to storm drain system. This detail shall <br />be shown on the tentative subdivision map submitted for review and approval by the <br />Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Prior to approval of the final subdivision map, the project developer shall post with the <br />City an additional performance bond for all private subdivision improvements not subject <br />to acceptance by the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Page 19 of 26 October 7, 2003 <br /> <br /> <br />
