THE CITY OF I 3 <br /> c„„ <br /> �f —_• . <br /> nra ° ' Ii CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLE ASANTON. <br /> August 15, 2017 <br /> Police <br /> TITLE: APPROVE FY2017/18 RECURRING PURCHASE ORDER FOR TYLER <br /> TECHNOLOGIES (FORMERLY NEW WORLD) SOFTWARE <br /> MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT OF COMPUTER AIDED DISPATCH (CAD), <br /> RECORDS MANAGEMENT AND MOBILE APPLICATIONS AND <br /> RECURRING PURCHASE ORDER FOR AXON ENTERPRISE (FORMERLY <br /> TASER INTERNATIONAL) FOR VIDEO EVIDENCE STORAGE AND <br /> LICENSING <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City's Purchasing Manual establishes the types and values of goods and services <br /> requiring City Council approval. <br /> In July of 2015 the Police Department entered into an agreement with New World, now <br /> owned by Tyler Technologies Inc., for licensed software of computer aided dispatch, <br /> report writing, and mobile applications essential for police services. Also in July of 2015, <br /> the Police Department entered into an agreement with Taser International, now known as <br /> Axon Enterprise, Inc., for licensed video evidence storage and support essential for police <br /> services. <br /> Staff is recommending Council authorize a Recurring Purchase Order Agreement(RPOA) <br /> for Tyler Technologies Inc. with an estimated value of $202,000 and a Recurring <br /> Purchase Order Agreement (RPOA) for Axon Enterprise, Inc. with an estimated value of <br /> $100,300 for 2017/18FY <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Authorize the issuance of RPOA to Tyler Technologies Inc. and Axon Enterprise, Inc. for <br /> FY2017/18. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> These are budgeted in the amounts of $202,000 and $100,000 respectively. The <br /> additional $300 for the Axon Enterprise purchase order will be covered within the Police <br /> Department Operational budget. <br />
