Exhibit A <br /> The following provisions of the Pleasanton Municipal Code are amended as follows: <br /> In Chapter 2.08 City Manager, §2.08.190 is amended as follows: <br /> 2.08.190 Public building and property supervision. It shall be the duty of the city manager and <br /> he or she shall exercise general supervision over all public buildings, public parks and all other <br /> public property which are under the control and jurisdiction of the city council. This includes the <br /> authority to approve administrative rules, regulations and policies regarding the Pleasanton <br /> Pioneer Cemetery. <br /> In Chapter 2.34 Library Commission, §2.34.080, Subsection A is amended as follows: <br /> 2.34.080 Meetings. <br /> A. Regular meetings shall be held on the second third Thursday of each month at a time and <br /> place set by the commission. The commission may approve an alternate meeting date. <br /> [Subsections B., C. and D. are unchanged.] <br /> In Chapter 5.24 LICENSE TAXES, §5.24.010 is amended as follows: <br /> 5.24.010 How and when payable. Unless otherwise specifically provided, all annual license <br /> taxes, under the provisions of this title, shall be due and payable in advance on January 1" <br /> through January 31". with payments postmarked within that period also accepted. License taxes <br /> covering new operations after January 1st may be prorated based on estimated gross receipts for <br /> the balance of the year. License taxes for the development of residential or commercial property <br /> shall be due and payable when applying for a building permit for each property to be developed. <br /> In Chapter 6.40 TAXICABS, §6.40.050 and §6.40.140 are amended as follows: <br /> 6.40.050 Liability insurance required. Before the chief of police issues the certificate, there <br /> shall be in full force and in effect insurance for each authorized vehicle in the amount of at least <br /> $100,000.00 for injury to one person per accident, $300,000.00 for injury to two or more persons <br /> per $1,000,000.00 for injuries sustained in any one accident; and S50.000.00$100,000.00 for <br /> property damage resulting from any one per accident. Said insurance shall benefit any person <br /> who shall be injured or who shall sustain damage to property caused by the negligence of a <br /> certificate holder, and/or the holder's employees or agents. Said insurance certificate shall be <br /> filed with the police department and shall be with an insurance company authorized to do <br /> business as provided in Section 6.40.020(H) of this chapter. <br /> 6.40.140 Driver's permit—Requirements. The police chief shall issue or deny the application <br /> for a driver's permit within 60 days of receipt of a completed application.
