FOR THE ANNUAL CURB AND GUTTER <br /> REPLACEMENT FOR STREET RESURFACING PROJECT, CIP NO. 15509 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Annual Curb and Gutter Replacement project consisted of removing and replacing <br /> damaged concrete sidewalks that presented potential trip hazards. It also included <br /> repair of curb and gutter for better drainage, and the installation of new intersection <br /> ramps for accessibility. This work was coordinated with the upcoming street pavement <br /> rehabilitation project. Construction of the project is complete and ready for acceptance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the improvements for the project. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion. <br /> 3. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $28,559.50 to Victor Concrete, <br /> Inc. thirty days after recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br /> 4. Authorize the transfer of the project's unused balance of $40,897 to the Gas Tax <br /> Fund. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for this project totaled $614,326 as outlined in Attachment 1. Expenditures <br /> totaled $573,429, leaving an unused balance of $40,897. Staff recommends the transfer <br /> of this balance to the Gas Tax Fund balance. <br />
