Pleasanton Trails Master Plan June 20, 2017 <br /> Work Plan <br /> TrailPeople,with input from Fehr& Peers, has prepared this work plan for the Trails Master Plan, <br /> including public outreach, master plan outline,and schedule of meetings.The intent is that the details <br /> of the schedule and the tasks will be refined at project initiation and at key intervals during the project, <br /> but that this work plan will establish the scope of tasks and deliverables,consistent with the <br /> established budget.The scope and budget assume that the Trails Master Plan expands on the Bicycle <br /> and Pedestrian Master Plan with new trails and routes focused on connecting to outlying parks and <br /> open space. <br /> The Bicycle, Pedestrian and Trails Committee(BPTC)will serve as the committee guiding the Trails <br /> Master Plan process with input from the Parks and Recreation Commission (PRC), Planning <br /> Commission,and,ultimately,adoption by City Council.The work plan includes coordination and <br /> meetings with other agencies such as the East Bay Regional Park District and Zone 7. <br /> 1. Project Initiation and Management <br /> 1.1. Project Initiation Meeting.TrailPeople will meet with the BPTC,City staff and partners (i.e. <br /> EBRPD and Zone 7 Water Agency staff)to review the work plan,discuss project goals and <br /> objectives, issues and challenge areas,strategies for communications, refine the preliminary <br /> project schedule(including specific dates for milestone deliverables), review list of deliverables, <br /> and discuss coordination of subconsultants. <br /> 1.2. Project Schedule and Budget. Prepare detailed project schedule based on project initiation <br /> meeting and confirm or update the budget for use in tracking progress against the schedule. <br /> 1.3. Project Management and QC. We will schedule approximately bi-weekly calls with the Project <br /> Manager to provide updates and coordinate the study, and will provide formal monthly budget <br /> and task progress reports with invoices <br /> Deliverables: <br /> ® Detailed project schedule, including specific dates for milestone deliverables and <br /> meetings <br /> 9 Written documentation of the items discussed at the project initiation meeting <br /> provided in PDF and DOCX file formats. <br /> Y Agendas and notes from check-in calls; monthly progress reports. <br /> 2. Data Collection and Analysis <br /> 2.1. Analyze Background Document and Data.TrailPeople will review existing planning documents, <br /> including the 1993 Community Trails Master Plan and all other planning and policy documents <br /> that relate to trails:the General Plan,Specific Plans,updated Pedestrian and Bicycle Master <br /> Plan,various other Master Plans, Land Use Plan, Regional Plans, Design Guidelines, proposed <br /> and approved private development projects,and relevant documents for the adjoining cities, <br /> the county,and applicable agencies such as the East Bay Regional Park District.TrailPeople will <br /> examine these documents for guidance and relevance to the proposed master plan and <br /> summarize the relevant aspects to provide an understanding of the planning context, <br /> background and current status of trail planning and implementation in and around the City. <br /> TrailPeople, Landscape Architects and Planners 1 <br />
