Report of the Planning Commission .re: Approval of Tentative Subdivision Map, Tract <br />No. 2842 (Pleasanton Valley) <br />Mr. Fales stated that this report of the Planning Commission was for informa- <br />tional purposes only. <br />Report of the Planning Commission re: Approval of Tentative Subdivision Map, Tract <br />No. 2844 (Pleasanton Valley) <br />Mr. Fales stated that this report also was only for the information of the <br />City Council. <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />A •roval of Engineers' Resort of Costs- Distribution of Sur'lus- Assessment District <br />No. 64 -3 (Arroyo del Valle Interceptor Sewer) <br />Mr. Fales reviewed the copy of a proposed resolution prepared by the bond <br />counsel which approves the Engineers' Final Report of Costs and authorizes the <br />distribution of the $5,289.93 in surplus remaining funds as a cash refund to those <br />who have paid cash in full or credit on assessments to those who are paying on <br />time in the Arroyo del Valle Interceptor Sewer, Assessment District No. 64 -3. <br />It was moved by Councilman Harding and seconded by Councilman Bubics that <br />Resolution No. 66 -32, adopting the final Engineers' Report of Costs for the con- <br />struction of improvements and acquisition of property in Assessment District No. <br />64 -3, Arroyo del Valle Interceptor Sewer, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilman Bubics, Gerton, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: I one <br />ABSENT: None <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br />Mr. Fales indicated that the Planning Commission has requested a joint study <br />session with the City Council on Wednesday, March 16th, in order to discuss the <br />general development plan and zoning of the Stoneson property, which is now before <br />the Commission. The Council agreed to meet with the Planning Commission on that <br />date. <br />Mr. Fales read his City Manager's Report No. 68, which detailed the need for <br />and requested authorization for an additional Police Patrolman position. <br />It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman Bubics that <br />Resolution No. 66 -33, creating a new position of Patrolman and authorizing the <br />necessary transfer of funds, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Gerton Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Mr. Fales read a letter dated March 1st, from Mr. F. B. Jeffrey, Executive <br />Secretary of the Economic Opportunity Council of Alameda County stating that each <br />governmental agency is entitled to designate one person to be a member of the <br />Agency's Board of Directors. Mr. Jeffrey also requested that the City's designee <br />have an alternate so that member agencies may be represented at each meeting. <br />Mayor Long appointed Councilman McWilliams to serve as the City's representative. <br />Mr. Fales read a letter dated March 4th, from Mr. Bruce D. Gillies, Alameda <br />County Bar Association, requesting that the Mayor proclaim May 1st, 1966, as Law <br />Day, U.S.A. <br />It was moved by Councilman Gerton and seconded by Councilman McWilliams that <br />the Mayor be authorized to sign a proclamation proclaiming May 1, 1966, as Law <br />Day, U.S.A. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Gernton, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ORDINANCES FOR ADOPTION (second reading) <br />Ord. No. 445, amending Ord. No. 309 re: March Rezoning <br />It was moved by Councilman Gerton and seconded by Councilman McWilliams that <br />Ordinance No. 445, amending Ordinance No. 309, rezoning approximately 2k acres <br />of property located south of Kottinger Ave., east of Second St., west of Del Sol <br />Ave., and north of Neal Street from the R -1 to the R -2 District, be adopted, and <br />the reading waived. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Gerton, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />3. <br />
