The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Gerton, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Bubics <br />Adoption of City Seal <br />After discussion on this matter, it was moved by Councilman Gerton that the City <br />Seal proposed by Mr. Paul Carey, of Logan, Carey and Rehag Designers, be adopted. <br />The motion died for lack of a second. <br />Considerable discussion ensued regarding this issue. <br />It was moved by Mayor Long and seconded by Councilman McWilliams that the news- <br />papers publish an article stating that anyone residing in either the Pleasanton or <br />Murray Townships may submit either a rough amateur sketch or a finished drawing <br />ready for reproduction of a proposed City Seal to the City Clerk up until 5:00 P.M. <br />on April llth for City Council selection on April 25th with the winner of the con- <br />test being paid $100.00 for a rough sketch or $250.00 for a finished drawing. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AXES: Councilmen Gerton, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Bubics <br />Pro reacts Payment No. 15. Leo F. Piazza Paving Co., Assessment District No. 64 -2, <br />Vintage Rills), <br />Mr. Fales reported that Progress Payment No. 15 to Leo F. Piazza Paving Company <br />in the amount of $27,109.93 is now due and payable. <br />It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman Gerton that <br />Resolution No. 66-29, authorizing Progress Payment No. 15 in the amount of <br />$27,109.93 to Leo F. Piazza Paving Company for the installation of public improve- <br />ments in Vintage Hills, Units 2, 3 and 4, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Gerton, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Bubics <br />COMMUNICATIONS, <br />Mr. Fales read a letter from Mrs. Robert Wasoski thanking the City Staff for <br />their cooperation regarding the traffic safety problems that existed around the <br />Alisal School. <br />ORDINANCES FOR ADOPTION (second reading) <br />Ord. No. 440; Adopting 1964 Uniform Building Code <br />It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman Harding that <br />Ordinance No. 440, 1964 Uniform Building Code, be adopted and the reading of the <br />Ordinance be waived. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Gerton, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Bubics <br />Ord No. 441A Adopting 1964 Uniform Plumbing Code <br />It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman Gerton that <br />Ordinance No. 441, 1964 Uniform Plumbing Code, be adopted and the reading waived. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Gerton, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Bubics <br />Ord. No. 443' Prohibition of Palmistr and Similar Activities <br />It was moved by Councilman Harding and seconded by Councilman McWilliams that <br />Ordinance No. 443, an Ordinance prohibiting Palmistry and Similar Activities, be <br />adopted and the reading waived. <br />The roll call vote waa as follows: <br />AYES: Councilman Gerton, Harding and McWilliams <br />NOES: Mayor Long <br />ABSENT: Councilman Bubics <br />Ord. No. 444' amendin: Ordinance No. 309 .rovidin: R -1 zonis: for Annexation No. <br />38. Stanley Blvd. Annex B <br />It was moved by Councilman Gerton and seconded by Councilman Harding that <br />Ordinance No. 444, amending Ordinance No. 309, to provide R -1 zoning in the area <br />of Annexation No. 38, Stanley Boulevard, Annex B, be adopted and the reading waived. <br />3. <br />
