Mr. Comer presented the real estate advertisement which listed this property for <br />multiple dwelling use and stated that it was on this assumption that he purchased <br />this site. <br />Mr. Fales explained the difference between the General Plan land use and the <br />actual zoning of Annexation No 38. <br />It was moved by Councilman Harding and seconded by Councilman Bubics that the <br />public hearing be closed. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Gerton, Harding and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman McWilliams <br />Mr. Ted Fairfield displayed a map of the proposed Arroyo Parkway and reported on <br />the amount of acquisition of property necessary in the Stanley Boulevard area. <br />Councilman Harding introduced Ordinance 444, assigning the R -1 Zoning District <br />to the area of Annexation No. 38, Stanley Boulevard Annex "B ". <br />It was moved by Councilman Harding and seconded by Councilman Bubics that the <br />reading of Ordinance No. 444 be waived. <br />The roll call vote was es follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Gerton, Harding and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman McWilliams <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br />Mr. Fales suggested that a letter from Mayor Long be sent to the Pleasanton <br />Womens Club accepting the Kottinger Park for maintenance and thanking them for <br />their work on this park. <br />It was moved by Councilman Bubics and seconded by Councilman Gerton that the <br />Mayor be authorized to send a letter to the Pleasanton Womens Club accepting the <br />City of Pleasanton's responsibility for the maintenance of the Kottinger Park and <br />also thanking them for their work on this project. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Gerton, Harding and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman McWilliams <br />COMMUNICATIONS . <br />Mr. Fales read a letter from Dr. Howard F. Long regarding the ultimate inter - <br />gration of water, sewer and other" services. <br />Mr. Fales stated that some of the items outlined in Dr. Long's letter have <br />already been investigated. <br />ORDINANCES FOR ADOPTION (second reading) <br />Ord. No. 442 Re: Uniform Sewer Ordinance <br />It was moved by Councilman Gerton and seconded by Councilman Bubics that Ordi- <br />nance No. 442, Uniform Sewer Ordinance, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Gerton, Harding and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman McWilliams <br />It was moved by Councilman Gerton and seconded by Councilman Bubics that the <br />reading of Ordinance No. 442, be waived. <br />The roll call vote was as follows:. <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Gerton, Harding and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman McWilliams <br />Ord. No. 443 Re: Prohibition of Palmistry and Similar Activities <br />Mr. Fales suggested that the adoption of -this Ordinance be postponed until all <br />Councilmen were present. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br />There were no matters presented by Council Members. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION - A ointment of City Representative, Valley Communities Economic <br />Opportunities Oanization <br />Mayor Long postponed the Executive Session until all Council Members were'pre- <br />sent. <br />2. <br />
