Mr. George Oakes and Mr. Dudley Frost . spoke in behalf of the proposal and urged <br />the Council to approve it. <br />After some discussion it was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by <br />Councilman Gerton that Resolution No. 66 -13 concurring in the establishment of a <br />Special Drainage Area for the City of Pleasanton, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Gerton, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />C. M. Report No. 65: Zone 7 Water Contract Negotiations <br />Mr. Fales summarized the study on the above subject and indicated that no action <br />was expected until after a study session had been held to review the matter in de- <br />tail. It was decided to schedule the study session for February 21, 1966, at 5:00 <br />P•M• <br />Request for Time Extension. Tentative Subdivision Map, Tract No. 2639 (Fairlands) <br />At the request of the applicant this matter was discussed as the next item on the <br />agenda. <br />Mr. George Oakes explained the necessity for the time extension of the tentative <br />subdivision map for the Fairlands tract. He stated that he had just received a <br />letter from Pacific Telephone and Telegraph which objected to the proposed map be- <br />cause of the plans for installing; a large line through the property. <br />Mr. Fales reviewed some correspondence between Pacific Telephone and Telegraph <br />and MacKay and Setups, the engineering firm for the developer, regarding this line. <br />Ur. Struther,1 indicated that the extension could be granted with the requirements <br />that the developer and Pacific Telephone and Telegraph work out the problem created <br />by t`te instal,Iction of this line. <br />After cors_derable discussion it was moved by Councilman Gerton and seconded by <br />Councilman McWilliams that Resolution No. 66 -14 extending the Fairlands Tentative <br />Subdivision Map, Tract No. 2639, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Gerton, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />Adoution of 1.964 Uniform Building Code: C.M. Report No. 62 <br />Mr. Fales indicated that this matter had been reviewed at an earlier study session <br />and that action was now in order. <br />Councilman McWilliams introduced Ordinance No. 440 adopting the 1964 Uniform <br />Building Code by reference. <br />It was moved by Councilman Harding and seconded by Councilman McWilliams that the <br />reading of the above Ordinance be waived. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: Councilman Gerton <br />ABSENT: None <br />It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman Gerton that <br />Resolution No. 66 -15 adopting the fee schedule presented by the staff pertaining to <br />the 1964 Uniform Building Code, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Gerton, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />It was moved by Councilman Gerton and seconded by Councilman McWilliams that <br />Resolution No. 66 -16 designating the Board of Appeals named in the Dangerous Build- <br />ing Ordinance the same as that in the 1964 Uniform Building Code. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Gerton, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />C. M. Resort No. 66• Ado•tion of 1964 Uniform Plumbin: Code <br />Mr. Fales reviewed the changes that were incorporated into the 1964 Uniform <br />Plumbing Code and indicated that action was now in order. <br />Councilman McWilliams introduced Ordinance No. 441 adopting the 1964 Uniform <br />Plumbing Code by reference, with the amendment that all underground pipe be machine <br />wrapped. <br />2. <br />
