1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />Matters For the Inforration of the Council <br />Mr Fales announced that the second Valley -wide meeting regarding the community actior <br />portion of the Economic Opportunities Act will be hosted by the City, with Mayor <br />Long presiding, at 8:00 P.M. on January 13, 1965, in the Amador High School Library. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Mr. Fales stated that he had received a letter from John and Geraldine Arbuckle <br />regarding the Job. Corps which he will read at the Public Hearing. <br />Mr. Fales•read a letter dated January 6, 1965 from Mark Gerton opposing the proposed <br />Safeway Center on Santa Rita Road at Black Avenue. <br />Mr. Fales read a letter dated January 6, 1965 from Raymond E. Keyes requesting that <br />developement of the Arroyo del Valle and the Arroyo del Laguna as park sites be <br />considered in the general Plan. <br />Mr. Fales read a letter from Mr. and Mrs C. A. Hamil, dated January 8, 1965 for- <br />malizing their verbal offer of dedicating a 10' strip of property for the express <br />purpose of widening of Division Street. <br />ORDINANCES FOR ADOPTION (second reading) were not scheduled for this meeting. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS were not presented at this meeting. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS: REVIEW OF FINANCIAL REPORTS <br />It was moved by Councilman Harding and seconded by Councilman Bubics that claims <br />Warrant No C -1 to No AFC -1 in the amount of $21,830.18, be approved for payment. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Cairo, Harding, McWilliams and Mayer Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />Mayor Long recessed the meeting at 9:41 P.M. <br />PERSONNEL SESSION <br />Mayer Long reconvened the meeting at 10:45 P.M. Resolution No. 65 -7 was then moved <br />by Councilman Harding, seconded by Councilman Bubics, authorizing the hiring of <br />D.M. De Voe, 3335 Castro Valley Blvd., to obtain easements for the Arroyo del Valle <br />interceptor sewer, and fixing compensation at $15.00 per hour. with automobile <br />allowance of $.12. per mile outside a radius of 20 miles. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Cairo, Harding, McWilliams, and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />•`There Being no further business Mayor Long adjourned the meeting at 11:47 P.M. to <br />Meet again in adjourned regular session at 8:00 P.M. on January 18, 1965, in the <br />Amador High School auditoruim. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Helen Woodward <br />City Clerk <br />John B.
