MIN ES <br />of <br />THE METING <br />of <br />THE CITY COUNCIL <br />Pleasanton, California <br />March 8, 1965 <br />T}IE CITY COUNCIL meet in.Regular Session at 8:00 P.M. on the above date with Mayor <br />Long presiding. <br />ROLL CALL by the City Clerk, evidenced the following attendance: Councilmen Bubics, <br />III Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long were present, Councilman Cairo was absent. Mr. <br />Fales, City Manager, Mr. Struthers, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, City Engineer, Mrs. <br />Woodward, City Clerk were present. <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG was led by Mayor Long. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman Harding that the <br />minutes of February 1st, 8th, 15th be approved as presented. and February 23rd be ap- <br />proved with the following correction on page 4 under circulation, "The Planning <br />Commission also heard from Mr. Fairfield, etc" be corrected to read "Mr. Fales stated <br />that the Planning Commission also heard from Mr. Fairfield, etc." and "Mr. Fales also <br />addressed the Planning Commission be corrected to read "Mr. Fales stated that he had <br />addressed the Planning Commission." <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Cairo <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COUNCIL <br />Judge Wm. Gale asked Mayor Long if a study session date could be scheduled with the <br />Planning Commission as soon as possible in order to discuss the area on the east <br />side of First Street between Kottinger and Vineyard Avenues which was held for <br />further consideration by Council action on March 1, 1965, which adopted the General <br />Plan. <br />I Mayor Long scheduled March 24th as the date of a study session with the Planning Com- <br />mission regarding this matter. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS were not scheduled for this meeting. <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS were not presented at this meeting. <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Assessment District No. 1964 -3; Arroyo del Valle Interceptor Sewer <br />Mr. Robert Brunsell, representing Sturgis, Den -Dulk, Douglass Anderson, explained <br />the proceedure to be taken regarding Assessment District No. 64 -3. He also explained <br />the letter of committment from S.C. Pohlman Company, for the purchase of improvement <br />bonds. <br />It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman Bubics that Resolutio <br />No. 65 -38, a resolution of intention in the matter of the construction of improvements <br />and acquisition of property in the Arroyo Del Valle Interceptor Sewer project, Asses- <br />sment District No. 64 -3, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: .Councilmen Bubics, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Cairo <br />III It was moved by Councilman Harding and seconded by Councilman McWilliams that Res- <br />olution No. 65 -39, preliminarily adopting the Engineer's Report and calling for bids <br />on April 8th at 2 :00 P.M. and setting the Public Hearing for April 19th, 1965 at <br />8:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bubics, Harding, McWilliams and Mayor song <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Cairo <br />Mr. Campbell stated that the City has five right -of -way contracts with property owners <br />covering eight parcels of property within the area of the proposed Arroyo Del Valle <br />Interceptor Sewer, listed as Parcels Nos. 502, 503, 505, 506, 510, 511 and 512 which <br />have been negotiated by the Citys' right -of -way agent, Mr. David M. De Voe, for <br />execution by the City. <br />
