IMUTES <br />of <br />THE MEETING <br />of <br />THE CITY COUNCIL <br />Pleasanton, California <br />February 1, 1965 <br />THE CITY COUNCIL met in adjourned regular session at 8:00 P.M. on the above date with <br />Mayor Long presiding. <br />ROLL CALL by the City Clerk evidenced the following attendance: Councilmen Cairo, <br />McWilliams and Mayor Long were present; Councilmen Bubics and Harding, absent. Mr. <br />Fales, City Manager, Mr. Struthers, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, City Engineer <br />Mrs. Woodward, City Clerk, were present. <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG was led by Mayor Long. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COUNCIL. No one addressed <br />the chair. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Annexation No. 37, "Golden Eagle Annex" Mayor Long declared the Public Hearing on <br />Annexation No. 37, open <br />Mr. Fales read the report from the Local Agency Formation Commission approving the <br />proposed annexation. <br />The City Clerk read a communication from Dr. Howard Long, a property owner within <br />the subject annexation, stating his satisfaction with the arrangements prepared by <br />Mr. Fales for Annexation No. 37 <br />There being no written or oral protests, it was moved by Councilman Cairo and second- <br />ed by Councilman McWilliams that the Public Hearing for Annexation No. 37. be closed. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Cairo, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmen Bubics and Harding <br />It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman Cairo that Resolutio. <br />No. 65 -19, declaring no majority protest in the matter of Annexation No. 37, Golden <br />Eagle Annex, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Cairo, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmen Bubics and Harding <br />Mr. Fales reviewed the annexation agreement and emphasized the proposed changes from <br />the standard agreement. The City attorney was instructed to revamp the agreement <br />and present it on February 8, 1965. <br />It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman Cairo that the City <br />Attorney prepare the Annexation Ordinance and make the appropriate changes in the <br />Annexation agreement. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Cairo, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmen Bubics and Harding <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />Report of the Planning Commission Re: Adoption of the New Pleasanton Area General <br />Plan <br />Mr. Fales reviewed the report of the Planning Commission, dated January 29th. He <br />recommended February 15, 1965 as a public hearing date. <br />It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman Cairo that the <br />Public Hearing and the Pleasanton Area General Plan be set for 8:00 P.M. on February <br />15, 1965. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Cairo, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmen Bubics and Harding. <br />
