Proposed VCSD Sunol Area Annexation 1 -25 -4 Mr. Fales stated that he has been informed that the LAFC will hear this matter at 4:00 PM on January 28, 1965. Mr. Fales described the boundaries included in this proposed VSCD Sunol Annexation. Mr. Fales read a letter from PTCWD signed by Mr. Annis explaining the overlapping of boundaries. Mr. Fales also read a copy of a letter to the Water Pollution Control Board. It was moved by Councilman Harding seconded by Councilman McWilliams that Resolution No. 65 -14, opposing Pleasanton Ridge and Sunol Area Annexation attempt by the Valley Community Service District, was adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmen Bubics and Cairo C.M. Report No. 42: Standard Specifications Mr. Fales recommended that a study session be scheduled in order to discuss this matter. Mr. Fales was asked to sea date for a Study Session and advise the City Council. Zone No. 7 Water Contract Mr. Fales reviewed the communications from Zone 7, dated December 16th and Jan 13th which related to the proposed Zone 7 water contract and referring to the Feb. 1 deadline for consideration. He suggested that if any progress is made in negotiation at the meeting of Jan. 22, that a time extension of 30 or 60 days be requested regarding any proposed contract Mr. Fales explained the Rose Ranch situation regarding this problem. It was moved by Councilman Harding and seconded by Councilman McWilliams that the City Manager request time on the agenda of Zone No. 7 for 9:00 PM on February 1, 1965 and at that time the Council request that the Zone No. 7 staff be instructed to negotiate a contract with the City of Pleasanton that is compatable with the water policy of both the City and PTCWD. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmen Bubics and Cairo Zone No 7 Benefit Area 7 -1 (Flood Control) Mr. Fales reviewed a letter, dated Jan. 13, and a release, dated Jan. 18, from Zone 7 relating to this proposed benifit area which set their public hearing for January 25, 1965. Mr. Fales suggested that a joint study session be scheduled with Zone 7 in order to further discuss and consider this matter. 1965 -66 Budget: State Gas Tax Engineering Funds (Section 2107.5) Mr. Fales stated that he has received the annual budget proposal forms from the State regarding these funds, amounting to $2,000.00, and recommends adoption of the resolution required to formally request allocation of these funds to the City. It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman Harding that Resolution No. 65 -15 adopting and submitting a budget for expenditure of state allocated engineering funds, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmen Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmen Bubics and Cairo Change in Salary Pay -Days Mr. Fales recommended that the dates for salary pay -days be changed from the 1st and 16th of each month to the 5th and 20th day of each month, commencing March 5.
