Proposed VCSD Sunol Area Annexation <br />1 -25 -4 <br />Mr. Fales stated that he has been informed that the LAFC will hear this matter at <br />4:00 PM on January 28, 1965. Mr. Fales described the boundaries included in this <br />proposed VSCD Sunol Annexation. Mr. Fales read a letter from PTCWD signed by <br />Mr. Annis explaining the overlapping of boundaries. Mr. Fales also read a copy <br />of a letter to the Water Pollution Control Board. <br />It was moved by Councilman Harding seconded by Councilman McWilliams that <br />Resolution No. 65 -14, opposing Pleasanton Ridge and Sunol Area Annexation <br />attempt by the Valley Community Service District, was adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmen Bubics and Cairo <br />C.M. Report No. 42: Standard Specifications <br />Mr. Fales recommended that a study session be scheduled in order to discuss this <br />matter. Mr. Fales was asked to sea date for a Study Session and advise the <br />City Council. <br />Zone No. 7 Water Contract <br />Mr. Fales reviewed the communications from Zone 7, dated December 16th and <br />Jan 13th which related to the proposed Zone 7 water contract and referring to the <br />Feb. 1 deadline for consideration. <br />He suggested that if any progress is made in negotiation at the meeting of Jan. 22, <br />that a time extension of 30 or 60 days be requested regarding any proposed contract <br />Mr. Fales explained the Rose Ranch situation regarding this problem. <br />It was moved by Councilman Harding and seconded by Councilman McWilliams that the <br />City Manager request time on the agenda of Zone No. 7 for 9:00 PM on February 1, <br />1965 and at that time the Council request that the Zone No. 7 staff be instructed <br />to negotiate a contract with the City of Pleasanton that is compatable with the <br />water policy of both the City and PTCWD. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmen Bubics and Cairo <br />Zone No 7 Benefit Area 7 -1 (Flood Control) <br />Mr. Fales reviewed a letter, dated Jan. 13, and a release, dated Jan. 18, from <br />Zone 7 relating to this proposed benifit area which set their public hearing for <br />January 25, 1965. Mr. Fales suggested that a joint study session be scheduled <br />with Zone 7 in order to further discuss and consider this matter. <br />1965 -66 Budget: State Gas Tax Engineering Funds (Section 2107.5) <br />Mr. Fales stated that he has received the annual budget proposal forms from the <br />State regarding these funds, amounting to $2,000.00, and recommends adoption of <br />the resolution required to formally request allocation of these funds to the City. <br />It was moved by Councilman McWilliams and seconded by Councilman Harding that <br />Resolution No. 65 -15 adopting and submitting a budget for expenditure of state <br />allocated engineering funds, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Harding, McWilliams and Mayor Long <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmen Bubics and Cairo <br />Change in Salary Pay -Days <br />Mr. Fales recommended that the dates for salary pay -days be changed from the 1st <br />and 16th of each month to the 5th and 20th day of each month, commencing March 5. <br />This recommendation is nade� because of court time, stand-by time, holiday time <br />,w <br />and temporary employee time having to be estimated and then readjusted in order <br />
