FOR THE BERNAL AVENUE AT 1-680 <br /> LANDSCAPE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, CIP NO. 15506 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The project consisted of installation of landscape and gateway monument features at <br /> the I-680/Bernal Avenue interchange. City Council awarded this construction contract <br /> to Cleary Brothers Landscape, Inc. on July 21, 2015. Construction of the project is <br /> complete and ready for City Council acceptance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the project as complete. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the project. <br /> 3. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $60,736.92 to Cleary Brothers <br /> Landscape, Inc. thirty days after the recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br /> 4. Authorize the return of the project balance in the amount of$219,125 to the Traffic <br /> Impact— Bernal Property Fund Balance. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for this project totaled $1,589,555 as outlined in Attachment 1. Expenditures <br /> totaled $1,370,430, leaving a balance of$219,125. Staff recommends the transfer of <br /> this balance to the Traffic Impact— Bernal Property Fund Balance. <br />
