l
To:City Council of.Pleasanton
From: Mark and Lisa Pasquale 863 Chateau Heights Ct
Subject: Conversion of the Old Vineyard Avenue to a multi-use Trail
Council Members,
The plan to route traffic down Rolling Hills through Vineyard Heights to Thiessen Street is a major
mistake. As you council members look forward to the future, imagine a situation where a car travelling
at speed comes in contact with a child or an adult outside of their home injuring the individual or worse.
In this case multiple lives are impacted forever, the driver, the victim, their families and friends. At the
time of the incident everyone will wonder who approved this traffic route, who allowed this to happen.
This will be the legacy of this city council. You can avoid this situation, in fact it is your duty to ensure
this does not happen and you can do this with one simple modification to your plan. Instead of having
traffic come down through a neighborhood populated with families and children, route traffic down Old
Vineyard road,to Vineyard by having traffic turn left as they come down the grade towards the Chateau
housing development. I trust you will make the right decision for your constituents and for the families
who live in the affected area.
Regards,
!
